What is Switch?

Network switches are universal equipment for connecting and servicing several sections of the structural cable system or local network. Network switches were originally developed using bridging technology, thanks to which they are now considered as multiport bridges to support the functioning of cable local area networks.
There are three switching modes:
- With the use of intermediate storage, when the switch operates according to the principle of receiving information processing and sending frames to the port, according to the table;
- Pass-through transmission, when the switch, reading only addresses, sends information to the port, but without processing errors;
-Hybrid or fragments less mode, when the switch applies the properties of the two previous modes at once, processing only the first 64 bytes of information for errors, and if there are no errors, it sends information through the end-to-end mode.
