The project Vault 7 organization WikiLeaks released the sixth set of documents belonging to the US Central Intelligence Agency.

The publication is called Scribbles ( «Scribble») and contains documents, as well as the source code of the tool used by the CIA to spy.

Scribbles is a Microsoft Office document pre-processing system, embedded tracker to track user actions in files that can be copied by insiders, informants and other interests of the CIA officials. As stated in the publication, released documents are dated March 1, 2016, and classified until 2066.

According to the documentation, the tool has been successfully tested on Microsoft Office 2013 that is installed on computers running the 64-bit version of Windows 8.1, as well as versions of MS Office 97-2016, and documents that were not encrypted or password-protected.

WikiLeaks started publishing classified documents the CIA March 7 of this year. To date, the organization has published six sets of documents – Year Zero, Dark Matter, Marble, Grasshopper, Hive, and Scribbles. While WikiLeaks continues to publish the files, the CIA in conjunction with the FBI conducts an internal investigation in the search for the informant, the culprit in data leakage.
