In recent months, the Internet information appears from time to time for a new edition of Windows 10 Cloud.
On Friday there were reports about what hardware you need to work with it. Earlier in April, there were rumors that in May, Microsoft will hold a dedicated Windows 10 Cloud event, which could take place the announcement of a new device. April 12 Microsoft has officially announced the event to be held on 2 May. After there were reports that Microsoft is working on a laptop, which will join the lineup Surface devices. Presumably, the model is called Windows 10 CloudBook will focus on the education segment.
As is the case with the devices on Windows 10, the Microsoft hopes that other manufacturers will follow its example and create their own similar models. On Friday it published internal documents of the company, which are the minimum system requirements for the devices on the Windows 10 Cloud and the benchmark results compared to the Chromebook, which are in demand in the educational institutions.
Since this is the minimum system requirements, nothing prevents manufacturers to produce faster device on this edition of Windows 10. It can be assumed that using Windows 10 Cloud Microsoft wants to reach a much wider range of customers than by other editorial staff systems.
Benchmarks show that the emphasis is on the inclusion of speed and battery life. As can be seen in the image, even Microsoft itself acknowledges that in some ways inferior to the device Chromebook.
Despite the name, Windows 10 Cloud has nothing to do with Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure. It will be possible to install only apps from the Windows Store, which should increase the safety devices by limiting the access of viruses, and malicious applications. In this, it is similar to Windows RT, but the difference lies in the ability to run Win32 applications that have been converted using the Desktop App Bridge and exhibited in the store. In addition, the system can be upgraded to the full Windows 10 editions.
