The hacker who staged the attack with the Petya virus, courteously “prodinamil” the court

In the Nikopol regional court of the Dnepropetrovsk region on June 11 criminal proceedings were instituted on charges of “citizen N.” in the commission of a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art. 361-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It is a question of creating, with the aim of using, distributing or marketing malicious programs or technical means, as well as distributing or marketing them on the facts of large-scale cyber attacks of the Petya (Not.Petya) virus.
According to the indictment, the said person is a citizen of Ukraine, a native of the Russian Federation, lives in Nikopol.
The preparatory hearing was scheduled for June 15. “But on the appointed date the defendant did not show up.” The court addressed his email about his inability to attend the hearing, and therefore he asked the court to postpone the hearing to a different date. “The case was adjourned until 12 June at 12:30,” – reported the press service of the court, passes the ” Financial Club “.
He faces a fine from 500 to 1,000 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens or correctional labor for up to 2 years, or imprisonment for the same period, with the confiscation of software or hardware intended for unauthorized interference with the operation of electronic computers (computers), automated systems, computer networks or telecommunication networks that are the property of the person responsible.
