For all those who’ve found their computer systems infected by the WannaCry ransomware, there’s a solution available. Thanks to a new decryption tool released by a French security research, you don’t need to pay $300 in Bitcoins to cyber criminals if your system is damaged by WannaCry ransomware.

The cyber attack damaged computer networks in over 150 countries including Britain, Italy, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan state just a few. Relating to reports, it has infected over 300, 000 computers in the world, and this is generally viewed as the biggest cyber attack in the world.

French security researcher Adrien Guinet, from Quarkslab, has uncovered a way to obtain the secret encryption tips employed by WannaCry ransomware. Regarding Guinet, WannaCry ransomware relies on prime amounts and generates a “public” key and a “private” key for encryption and decryption of the program data files.

He also found which it does not erase the prime numbers from storage before freeing the associated memory, and therefore he was able to create a WannaCry ransomware decryption tool, named WannaKey, which essentially attempts to retrieve the two prime numbers used in the formula to create encryption keys.

The WannaKey decryption tool is available at no cost and works on Windows XP, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and 2008 operating systems. Unfortunately, the tool will only work on that damaged computer that hasn’t been rebooted after the attack or for computers with associated memory space that hasn’t been given and erased by the consumer or by some other process, added Guinet.

Apparently, there may be still one more way to unlock your computer without paying. While reported by the hacker news, there’s another tool called “WanaKiwi” by a security researcher named Dernier-né Delpy that can uncover WannaCry infected systems.

This kind of tool is said to have to develop on Guinness’s findings and is available to download from Github. The WanaKiwi tool works on Windows XP, windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003 and 08 operating systems like the WannaKey, and can run using the command prompt.
