By Prempal Singh 0 Comment March 9, 2017

If you think your business is safe then you are wrong, your business is not safe because in cyber world if you are targeted by the hacker or cyber criminals then you will the victim of cyber crime.

The study shows that small and mid-sized companies are not resistant to cybercrime, and as much as 50 every cent of the businesses reported to have at least one cyber attack in the last 12 months. It cost these businesses well over US$955,000 for restoration.

A global cyber crime cost is expected to cross US$2 trillion by 2019.

If your business doesn’t have the time to spend on cybercrime restoration, follow these techniques to maintain your business protected from almost all of the cyber attacks:

Educate and teach your workforce

It does not matter how foolproof the security system your business has, if your employees aren’t trained and don’t follow the security standards, you’re likely to lose data.

Regarding a report by Intel, of all the data breaches, 43 every center attributed to the workforce. More than sixty-eight percent of these data breaches impacted financial data of the firms.

The employees, intentionally as well as accidentally, can cause a security breach. For example, without having strong enough security passwords, using business email and accounts on public computer systems, etc. — all of these could potentially lead to a breach.

You need to train your employees. Tell them what they’re supposed to do to make certain they don’t become a source of the information breach.

Use a VPN

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a must part of your organization’s security. There is almost no business that goes without a VPN. It scrambles data, hides IP address, and protects infrastructures and devices from hackers.

Claudio Ramadori, the founder of Anonymster with over being unfaithful years of IT security experience, says:

Recently, Duet Security has offered a brand new solution that is better and even more secure than a company’s VPN. It is based on Google’s BeyondCorp framework and is sure to help businesses on a massive scale.

You can try the security solution that best suits your organization.

Use anti-virus software

A malware is deadly. Statistics show that some 18 million new malware samples were captured in the third quarter of 2016.

Don’t count on free anti-malware security tools. They’re good for nothing. Invest in high-level premium malware protection software for your entire corporation. Anti-malware software will protect your servers and computer systems from malicious software, glitches, and many security threats.

Work with cloud storage smartly

Perform you use the cloud? Sure you do because there is no better way to store and share loads of data. But data stored in the cloud is not safe since it is much easier to hack.

Victoria Ivey from CIO says: “Avoid storing sensitive information on the cloud. ”

This kind of appears to be a reasonable advice that makes sense. Although you cannot stop using the cloud but you should not store the delicate information about the cloud. Maintain it elsewhere.

One previous thing, keep the software, operating system, apps, and all other tools up-to-date. Outdated software applications on your computer are the biggest threat to security.

Generally, there you decide to go, you know how to keep your business and data safe.
