Demand ransom: hackers have put on the ears of Belarusian security forces

Hackers on Tuesday, August 8, hacked the account of the largest trade enterprise of Minsk “Komarovsky market ” in the social network Instagram and demanded from the management of the ransom for the return of access to the account. This was reported in the press service of Minsk GUMVD.

It is reported that hackers demand to pay them 15 thousand Belarusian rubles (about 200 thousand UAH), after which the attackers promise to return access to the page in the social network.

“All the circumstances of the incident are being verified: today, a statement on bringing an attacker to justice has been registered in the Soviet Department of Internal Affairs of the capital,” the press service of the Minsk police said.

Cybercriminals may be prosecuted under Article 349 (“Unauthorized access to computer information”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, as well as under Article 351 (“Computer sabotage”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.
