One such way is by using Artificial Intelligence (AI). Though AI has a great likelihood of making a significant trade in cybersecurity, it has the potential for being altered.

As AI technology becomes smarter, it is merely a matter of time until cyber criminals make use of it in their advantage. Criminals can launch artificial intelligent malware using AI technology to cause serious harm to an individual or organization. The malware is a smart program designed to avert detection while spreading through the network stealing data.

These programs do not require the utilization of human interaction and constantly work without preventing for a break. Along the way of creating chaos, the malware is able to move fast, adapt, change, and learn from the programs trying to remove it, only becoming better and harder to eliminate.

Ransomware will be a great focus on with smart technology, as AI will only make it much easier to ransom devices and networks. Organizations need to access their data to create a profit and with the data held at ransom, they cannot run their businesses. Dave Palmer, a security expert at Darktrace, has said machine intelligence provides the capability to act with cases of ransomware and attack overloading the user’s defenses. However, smallest and simplest form of smart malware can be too terrible for users and organizations, doing a lot of harm within a short period of the time.

IoT devices, such as medical devices, will most likely be the target for these problems and the assets and data behind them. The smart malware will also disguise itself as scam malware; learning and imitating the user’s writing and communication style to deliver false email messages targeted to infect other users or organizations. Smart scam malware will be observed soon, as there are already existing technologies like Google DeepMind that contain natural conversation and language tools. Nevertheless, this technology is new and very expensive, charging up to $20, 000 and can take about one year to develop a simple smart program, so criminals might not exactly be able to access this technology yet.

Organizations have begun to combat artificial intelligent malware in order to stay prepared for possible future attacks. Generally, there already have been great developments using AI-type codes to discover and reduce malware, that can stop an attack in the footsteps. As the concurrence of a machine and device communications be prevalent, we will always see a battle between the dark and light side.
