In 54 countries, Virus attacked to computers – CISCO | VPNFilter
VPNFilter is especially popular in Ukraine. About 500,000 devices are already infected around the world.
A new computer virus has infected about 500,000 devices in more than 50 countries. This is reported by the US telecommunications company Cisco Systems.
Malicious software, known collectively as VPNFilter, attacks network hardware, particularly routers and drives. Using the utility, attackers can not only steal data about sites, but also disable digital devices.
Experts of the company note that VPNFilter is distributed in 54 countries, especially actively – in Ukraine.
Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine warned about a possible large-scale cyber attack on state structures and private companies on the eve of the Champions League final.
