Microsoft Joins The Linux Foundation

The change in Microsoft’s frame of mind towards Linux and open-source software has changed a lot through the years. The Microsoft company announced on Wednesday (16) during the event for developers Connect, which is part of the Linux Foundation, a nonprofit organization that works to be able to standardize and help Linux to grow.
After showing the world that is devoted to contributing to Linux, Microsoft company decided now formalizing it, using its accession to the Linux Foundation, which will soon be considered a full affiliate.
However, the organization said it will be a Platinum member. As such, the organization will donate $ 500,000 every year. This is the greatest category of the foundation. To be part of it, Microsoft joins companies such as HP, Intel, IBM and Oracle.
