Hackers stole more than $ 500 million from one of Japan’s largest crypto-exchange exchanges

Unknown cyber criminals hacked one of the largest crypto-exchange exchanges in Japan Coincheck and stole from its participants tokens worth $ 533 million.

This is reported by Cointelegraph.

It is noted that as a result of several unauthorized transactions, the NEM crypto currency tokens were stolen.

The representatives of the exchange had already held a press conference in connection with the incident and promised to explain the procedure for paying compensation to the victims later.

It is specified that the attackers did not abduct other crypto-currencies during the break-in.

Earlier it was reported that hackers who hacked the crypto-exchange NiceHash, allegedly stole bitcoins worth $ 68 million.
