Google Chrome Patches 30 Vulnerabilities

By Prempal Singh 0 Comment June 7, 2017

Google-chrome released a Stable Channel Update for Windows, Mac PC, and Linux desktop fixing 30 security bugs that if exploited could allow an attacker to take control of an afflicted system.

Among the weaknesses were five high ranked flaws which included type confusion in V8, away of bounds read in V8, address spoofing in Omnibox, use after free in print preview, and Use after free in Apps Bluetooth flaws, relating to a June 5 press release.

The Chrom 59. 0. 3071. 86 contains several fixes and improvements although access to details of the defects and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix. Google will also maintain restrictions if the bug exists in a third party library that other projects similarly based upon, but haven’t yet fixed, the release said.

Users and admins are advised to update all afflicted systems as soon as possible.
