Cyber Crime Traces at Least 300 Contact Numbers Which is Used by Fraudsters

INDORE: Cybercrime police have traced and marked at least three hundred phone numbers utilized by criminals after obtaining information on its helpline since February.

Teams will be delivered to different parts of the nation to nab the accused.

Police said callers from these numbers asked for information on bank accounts including ATM pin code and OTPs (One Period Password) under the aspect of digital payments and internet banking.

“Our team has developed a strong database of such phone number. Details of cyber crimes determined across the country are expected to unearth once we get hold of the accused, ” said DIG Harinarayana Chari Mishra. “Specially trained staffers have been deployed on the helpline 7049124444 to help victims, ” he added.

The traced numbers are operated from different parts of the country. Law enforcement officials teams will be delivered to nab the charged callers.

Police said the majority of these numbers are tracked from small towns. Jharkhand has been marked with the maximum contact numbers in these incidents.
