Facebook will prohibit buying ads for pages that spread false news. This is stated in the statement.

If the pages repeatedly publish information that will be marked as false, they will lose the right to advertise, reported on Facebook. If the messages on such pages cease to be marked as unreliable, their administrators will again be able to buy advertising in the social network. The deadline for the removal of restrictions in the company is not specified.

The report says that earlier Facebook banned news resources with fake stories to receive advertising revenue. Social network blocks ads marked as false by third-party organizations that are engaged in fact-checking.
