Cyber crimes in Kerala on increase

Within just a bid to concern the increasing number of cyber-related crimes, point out government proposed to set up a Cyberdome at Technopark, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala informed assembly on Tuesday.

The quantity of cyber crimes authorized has reached to more than 500 last 12 months from 73 in 2009, Chennithala said while responding to a calling attention to the necessity to frame strong investigation set up to combat cyber criminal activity in the state also to enact legislation to enforce severe punishment to such crimes.

The Cyberdome would accelerate police vigil to track down cyber risks and chase the perpetrators, he said.

Improve establishing up the second internet police station at Kochi had already started. Authorities plan to have another cyber police station at Kozhikode, he said. The first cyber police station in the state of Hawaii was opened here in July 2009.
