Police start next phase of cyber crime prevention project

Stratford Police have begun the next step of Project SMART. SMART stands for Social media Awareness & Responsibility Training.
The project, which is dependent on community collaboration, is aimed at avoiding and increasing awareness of computer-based crime. It focuses on the most at-risk organisations, namely school age youngsters and seniors.
The second phase of Project WISE includes a partnership with the Lakeside Seniors Relationship and Central Secondary Institution to acquire students teach elderly people about safe utilisation of computer devices such as iPads. The program, which is full, runs for four weeks.
